DIFFERENT REALITIES

In this series, Different Realities, I am seeking common threads throughout my photographic images and therapeutic work. I am interested in our own subjective realities, including some states of unease to reflection, and certain atmospheres and environments. There are many possibilities and openings in alternate states. I like working with an element of surprise, and am drawn to slow shutter speeds and juxtapositions in the images. Octavio Paz, in his poem “Return”, writes “…I walk towards myself” (“ Camino hasta mi mismo”). Being a presence in verbal and visual narratives touches upon valuable things in between the lines.
