ABOUT
Linda Gallop resides in Brooklyn, New York, after living in Puerto Rico for ten years. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, California, and from the Graduate School of Social Work, New York University. She studied painting with Carmelo Fontanez at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, and Cordula Volkening in Brooklyn, New York. More recently, she attended Fashion Institute of Technology for photographic studies.
Linda Gallop’s photographs of demonstrations in Puerto Rico were shown at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Her work has been shown in various galleries in New York, and in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and in juried shows at the Institute of Culture, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In Brooklyn, New York, she has shown her work with community arts organizations, as the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition and in juried shows at the Park Slope Artists Council.
She is interested in dualities, and multileveled communication in her photographic work, creating certain environments and atmospheres.
